Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an experienced Lead Surveyor to guide field teams, oversee data collection, and ensure maps and legal descriptions meet standards. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and collaboration with project stakeholders on utility-scale sites.

The candidate should have at least 5 years in surveying, strong leadership, and proficient use of surveying equipment and software. Travel and outdoor work are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Surveyor or equivalent role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong technical skills with survey equipment and software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Lead a field survey team and provide necessary resources and support.
• Oversee survey work, data collection, and preparation of maps/plans.
• Ensure survey work meets all standards and regulations.
• Interpret survey results and adapt methods/equipment as needed.
• Communicate with clients and provide project progress updates.
• Maintain survey equipment and ensure the team is trained and equipped.
• Collaborate with the Construction Manager to meet schedule and budget.
