Job summary

Gilbane Building Company seeks a Senior General Superintendent II to lead field operations on one or more large projects. This on-site role requires directing trade contractors, supervising the project team, and managing budgets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with owners and engineers, drive site safety programs, and mentor junior staff to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• 15+ years of experience on large commercial/industrial projects or multiple projects in a lead superintendent role.
• OSHA 30-hour certification is required.
• STS-C Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates trade contractors and sub-contractors to meet the project schedule.
• Supervises and develops the project team.
• Manages the project budget for general conditions and site services.
• Leads site walks with owner, architect/engineer, and lenders to show progress.
• Ensures safety compliance and leads safety culture across all trades.
• Develops the Quality in Construction plan with the Operations Excellence team.
