Job summary

Austin Commercial in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead day-to-day field construction on a major project. The role collaborates closely with the Senior Project Manager, oversees safety, schedules, and coordination of staff, and ensures high-quality workmanship while maintaining compliance with all codes.

Austin Commercial is 100% employee-owned. Requirements include a BS in construction management or related field, OSHA 30-Hour, and 10+ years of commercial construction

Qualifications

• B.S. in construction management, construction science, engineering, or equivalent
• OSHA 30-Hour completed (within first year)
• 10+ years of commercial construction field experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field construction activities on the jobsite
• Organize large project staff and coordinate with owners and engineers
• Ensure overall safety and implement safety plans
• Review submittals, drawings, and schedule to plan work
• Plan layout and equipment needs for efficient site operations
• Guide problem-solving with architects and engineers to resolve issues
• Develop manpower and equipment projections with the project manager
• Monitor progress and ensure compliance with budgets and schedules
• Maintain detailed daily reports and quality standards
