Job summary

Austin Commercial in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a skilled Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on a commercial project. You will oversee safety, site layout, and coordination with architects, engineers, and the project team to ensure on-time, quality delivery.

With 4+ years in commercial construction and proven supervisory abilities, you will guide crews, review plans, and manage resources to meet project goals while upholding safety and company values.

Qualifications

• B.S. in construction management/science, engineering, or equivalent with experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training completed or within first year of employment.
• 4+ years of commercial construction field experience including direct supervisory experience.
• Proficient with reading plans and specs.
• Ability to build and manage direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Leads day-to-day field construction activities on assigned jobsite.
• Ensures the overall safety of the jobsite and enforces safety plans and procedures.
• Reviews record documents, submittals, shop drawings, and schedule to determine project scope and resources.
• Plans the site layout and startup activities, including space usage and site utilities.
• Designates areas for cranes, hoists, materials storage, and parking.
• Directs field engineers in survey and layout, verifies elevations and control lines before foundation work.
• Plans daily and weekly craft activities with detailed schedules and communicates expectations to foremen.
• Assists in evaluating schedule and cost impacts and manpower projections.
