Job summary

The role requires a B.S. in construction management/science or engineering (or equivalent with HS diploma), 6+ years’ experience, proficiency in reading plans, and OSHA 30 training.

Qualifications

• B.S. in construction management/science, engineering preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6+ years of commercial construction field experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training (may be completed within first year).
• Ability to read plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field construction activities on assigned jobsite.
• Lead safety efforts and implement safety plans and procedures.
• Review records, submittals, shop drawings, and schedules to determine scope and resources.
• Plan layout, startup activities, and site logistics with project management.
• Direct field engineers and ensure dimensional control and elevations are correct.
• Develop daily/weekly craft schedules and provide clear technical instructions.
• Coordinate procurement of self-performed materials and tools from approved suppliers.
• Inspect work for quality and compliance; supervise staff involved on site.
• Provide guidance to resolve on-site problems and improve efficiency.
• Assist in evaluating schedule/cost impacts and labor/equipment projections.
