Job summary
Austin Commercial is seeking a Senior Safety Manager in Austin, TX to lead site safety programs on assigned projects. You will educate staff, enforce safety policies, and drive compliance across multiple teams within our Texas division.
Ideal candidates have an associates degree in safety, 8–10 years of construction safety experience, and certifications such as OSHA 500 and BCSP. We offer ESOP benefits and a strong safety culture.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in safety or related field required/preferred.
- 8–10 years safety experience in construction preferred.
- OSHA 500 Trainer certification required.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications preferred or required.
Responsibilities
- Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representatives.
- Ensures compliance with safety manual, policies and expectations; conducts safety reviews.
- Creates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents.
- Leads safety training and subcontractor development; strong presentation skills.
- Represents company professionally with owner and subcontractors.
- Creates and facilitates safety training aligned with project schedules.
- Maintains relationships with vendors and safety organizations.
