Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking an experienced Superintendent to plan, execute and manage construction projects in California. You will lead safety programs, oversee subcontractors and staff, and ensure on‑time, profitable completion. Strong emphasis on coordination, cost control and quality is required.

The role requires 5+ years in construction, field supervision, and a valid driver’s license. Bachelor’s degree preferred; relocation may be needed for project assignments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years construction experience
• 3+ years field supervision experience
• Experience with Lean principles preferred
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
• Willingness to travel/relocate as needed
• Ability to manage budgets and profitability

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and injury prevention on site
• Manages subcontractors and overall job workflow
• Oversees staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work
• Manages project site care, custody and control
• Leads daily standups and weekly trade meetings
• Coordinates project scheduling with the Project Manager
• Tracks and reports on costs using project reports
• Communicates key project information to stakeholders
• Ensures quality via specifications, QA/QC and external resources
• Coordinates closeout activities with owners and authorities
• Identifies project risks and proposes mitigations
