Job summary

ADTRAN, Inc. in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Sales Engineer to support field engagement activities, including overview presentations, pre- and post-sales visits, and customer trials.

You will assist with lab and field trials, troubleshoot, train, install, and implement solutions for accounts in the assigned territory. The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of related experience, CCNA/CCDA/ATSP preferred, and extensive travel (60%+).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of related experience required.
• CCNA/CCDA/ATSP certifications preferred.
• Extensive travel required: 60%+ out of office.

Responsibilities

• Direct account and partner responsibilities for assigned territories.
• Maintain a current knowledge base including competitive solutions and product specs.
• Provide technical and sales support including demonstrations, evaluations, and training for accounts.
• Assist in development of formal sales plans and proposals for opportunities.
• Work cross-functionally with Proposals, Marketing, Corporate, Engineering, etc. to keep information up-to-date.
• Participate in strategic meetings to identify client requirements and product direction.
• Maintain knowledge of ADTRAN brand and competitive solutions and communicate strengths/weaknesses.
• Ensure deliverables meet customer needs and uphold the ADTRAN brand.
