Job summary

GEA Group is seeking a Field Service Technician III to join our Central Region Service Team. The Field Service Technician III performs routine maintenance, warranty work, and minor repairs to a variety of industrial equipment products and packages without supervision.

Responsibilities include on-site visits, advanced troubleshooting of refrigeration systems and electrical/control panels, and retrofitting control panels across manufacturers. Expect up to 90% travel in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of industrial refrigeration experience.
• Capable of reading P&IDs and electrical schematics.
• Thorough knowledge of the refrigeration cycle.
• Advanced knowledge of screw and piston type compressors and their packages.
• Ability to travel 90% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer requests and field dispatches.
• Mee ts with customer at site to assess service needs.
• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for the compressor package.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration systems, electrical & control systems.
• Perform retrofitting of industrial control panels.
• Completes routine maintenance and service reports within deadlines.
