Job summary

GEA Group is seeking a Field Service Technician III to join the Central Region Service Team. The role covers routine maintenance, warranty work, and minor repairs on industrial equipment with extensive travel to customer sites.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years of industrial refrigeration experience, know P&IDs and electrical schematics, and can train customers on operation. OSHA/industry standards adherence is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school certification in refrigeration or similar field preferred.
• RETA/CIRO certification preferred; must obtain within 1 year.
• 7–10 years of industrial refrigeration experience required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer requests and field dispatches.
• Meets with customer on site to discuss service or repair.
• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for compressor packages.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control systems and refrigeration systems.
• Retrofit industrial control panels across multiple manufacturers.
• Perform routine maintenance or repairs per ANSI/IIAR-6 2019.
• Inspect machinery and suggest preventative measures.
• Prepare service tickets, reports and paperwork within timeframe.
• Provide after-hours telephone support and customer training on equipment.
