Job summary

General Refrigeration Company in Delmar, DE is seeking an experienced Service Technician for industrial refrigeration systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, interact with customers, and ensure safety and compliance across jobs.

Responsibilities include documenting work, training apprentices, and maintaining assets. Valid driver’s license and OSHA knowledge are required. The role may involve on-call hours and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Refrigeration service experience.
• Universal EPA Certification is required.
• Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and emergency troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for industrial refrigeration systems.
• Communicate issues and solutions clearly to customers.
• Build and maintain excellent customer relationships.
• Document completed work and submit required paperwork promptly.
• Ensure work complies with safety requirements and codes.
• Test systems after repairs to ensure proper operation and code compliance.
• Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear.
• Report recurring issues or product defects to Supervisors.
• Keep General Refrigeration assets (tools, equipment, vehicles) in good condition.
• Provide on-the-job training to Service Technician Apprentice and review their work.
