Job summary

GEA Group in York, PA seeks a Systems Troubleshooter II to join the Warranty Team in the Service Department. You will assist with issue resolution on complex refrigeration equipment and provide top-notch technical support to customers and technicians.

The role requires strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, reading schematics, and experience with refrigeration systems. On-site position with opportunities for growth and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade / technical school refrigeration certification preferred.
• 3-5+ years’ experience in refrigeration or related troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Capable of reading P&IDs and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycle and major components.
• Experience with screw and piston compressors.
• Familiar with data analytics for problem solving.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, ERP and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor and other troubleshooters with issue resolution and coordinating problem jobs.
• Provide technical support via phone and email to customers and technicians.
• Examine complex equipment issues and contribute to product/process improvements.
• Deliver maintenance recommendations and standard repair procedures.
• Develop instructions for new equipment and maintenance standards.
• Document issues and conversations for tracking and follow-up.
