Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician I, Lead for the Baltimore, MD area. The role involves maintenance and service of fuel cells in customer sites, performing diagnostics and upgrades, and delivering emergency support while reporting and documenting field activities.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma with electrical coursework and 3+ years of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, plus a valid driver license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with electrical coursework or equivalent.
• 3+ years of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Valid driver license; ability to lift 50 pounds; safe operation of a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and services fuel cells at customer sites.
• Performs diagnostics, troubleshooting and evaluations to sustain fleet performance.
• Conducts field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades on fuel cells.
• Provides emergency support and reports breakdown events as needed.
• Orders parts and maintains service logs and site documentation.
• Ensures safety procedures and professional customer interactions at all times.
