Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to serve as a technical expert and leader in supporting complex vehicle repairs and field operations. Based mainly at a service center, this role may travel to remote locations or production plants to provide advanced field support as needed.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong diagnostic skills, leadership in mentoring teammates, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across repair workflows while collaborating

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or recognized equivalency credential preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel to regional locations or production plants as needed.
• Proficient in Windows/Mac environments and work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Diagnostics & Complex Repairs: perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics and complex repairs in service centers and field settings.
• Technical Support & Remote Troubleshooting: provide high‑level diagnostics to field teams and perform remote diagnostics when possible.
• Leadership & Mentorship: coach, mentor, and train junior technicians and cross‑functional partners.
• Advanced Tools & Methodologies: use diagnostic tools to resolve HV and network faults.
• Quality & Process Standardization: conduct road tests and drive repair workflow improvements.
• Parts Operations & Systems: manage parts ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing.
• Documentation & Feedback: document repairs and provide root‑cause analysis to leadership.
• Customer & Cross‑Functional Engagement: interact with customers, suppliers, and internal teams during escalations.
