Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician in Southern California to lead advanced vehicle diagnostics, complex repairs, and field operations. The role blends center-based work with remote support, requiring strong leadership and the ability to coach junior technicians.

You will handle high-voltage systems, utilize specialized diagnostic tools, and drive continuous improvement across service workflows while engaging customers and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from automotive repair school or vocational program preferred.
• Minimum 5–8+ years automotive repair experience with bumper-to-bumper diagnostics.
• 3–8+ years working on High Voltage (HV) systems and HV diagnostics.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics, complex repairs, installations, and inspections at service centers and in field settings.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and perform remote diagnostics or repairs via logged data and schematics.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians and cross-functional partners; lead problem-solving.
• Utilize specialized diagnostic tools to resolve complex electrical, HV, and network faults.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing; provide root-cause analysis and feedback.
