Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to serve as a technical expert and leader in complex vehicle repairs and field operations. The role is based mainly at a service center with possible remote work, travel to remote locations, or work at production plants to provide advanced field support.

The candidate should have 5–8+ years of automotive repair experience, 3–8+ years on high voltage systems, and a track record in leadership or mentoring roles, delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an automotive repair school or vocational program preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations or production plants.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics, complex repairs, installations, and inspections in service centers and field settings.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance to field teams and remote diagnostics.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians and cross-functional partners.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to resolve electrical, HV, and network faults.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, and inventory.
