Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to serve as a technical leader for advanced vehicle diagnostics and field support. The role blends service-center work with travel to remote sites and production plants, driving complex repairs, mentorship, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Graduation from automotive repair school or vocational program preferred.
5–8+ years automotive repair experience preferred; HV diagnostics experience valued.

Responsibilities

Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics and complex vehicle repairs in service centers and field settings.
Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting for field teams.
Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians; lead cross-functional problem-solving.
Utilise diagnostic tools to resolve electrical, HV, and network faults.
Drive standardization, road-testing, and continuous improvement of repair workflows.
Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, and inventory management.
Produce clear documentation and provide root-cause feedback to engineering and leadership.
