Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to act as a technical expert and project leader for complex vehicle repairs and field operations. This role will involve remote work, travel to remote sites, and production plants to provide advanced field support as needed, with a focus on continuous improvement and mentorship.

The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years in automotive repair, strong HV experience, and proven leadership capabilities, comfortable in fast-paced environments

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduation from automotive repair school or vocational program preferred.
• State mechanic certifications where required by jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics and complex repairs in service centers or field settings.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians and partners; lead problem-solving.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to resolve complex electrical, HV, and network faults.
• Drive standardization of repair processes and road-testing for quality.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing.
• Produce documentation and provide root-cause feedback to engineering teams.
• Engage with customers, suppliers, and internal teams during escalations.
