Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to serve as a technical expert and leader for complex vehicle repairs and field operations. The role blends service center work with remote and on-site field support, requiring strong diagnostic and leadership capabilities.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with high voltage systems, bumper-to-bumper diagnostics, and a track record of mentoring technicians while driving continuous improvement in repair workflows.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
Graduation from an automotive repair school preferred.
21+ years old and valid driver’s license with clean record.
Ability to travel regionally to locations or production plants.
Proficient with Windows/Mac, work orders, and diagnostic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics and complex repairs inside service centers and at field locations.
Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote support for field teams.
Coach and mentor junior technicians and cross-functional partners.
Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to resolve HV and electrical faults.
Drive continuous improvement, document findings, and feed back to engineering and leadership.
Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing.
