Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to serve as a technical expert and leader in supporting complex vehicle repairs and field operations. The role involves mentoring junior team members and solving intricate diagnostic challenges in a fast-paced setting.

Based primarily at a service center, this position may involve remote work, travel to remote locations, or assignments at production plants to provide advanced field support as business needs require.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8+ years automotive repair experience, bumper-to-bumper diagnostics.
• 3 to 8+ years HV (high voltage) diagnostics experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with continuous improvement and process standardization.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench and field diagnostics and complex repairs at service centers and in field settings.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting support.
• Coach, mentor and train junior technicians and cross-functional partners.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to resolve HV and network faults.
• Drive road tests to verify repair quality and lead standardization efforts.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receipt, and inventory management.
• Document results and provide actionable feedback to engineering and field teams.
