Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to act as a technical expert and leader in supporting complex vehicle repairs and field operations. The role combines service-center work with remote, travel, and production-plant assignments to deliver advanced field support.

The ideal candidate brings 5–8+ years of automotive repair, 3–8+ years on HV systems, and proven leadership. You will mentor peers, solve high-stakes diagnostics, and help standardize processes while ensuring

Qualifications

5 to 8+ years automotive repair experience preferred.
3 to 8+ years hands-on experience working on High Voltage (HV) systems preferred.
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Advanced Diagnostics & Complex Repairs: Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics, complex repairs, installations, and inspections at service centers and field locations.
Technical Support & Remote Troubleshooting: Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote diagnostics/repairs using logged data and schematics.
Leadership & Mentorship: Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians and internal partners; foster cross-functional collaboration.
Advanced Tools & Methodologies: Use diagnostic tools like PICO-Scope, PCAN, and breakout boxes to resolve complex faults.
Quality & Process Standardization: Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and drive high standards in workflows.
Parts Operations & Systems: Oversee ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing to ensure efficiency.
Documentation & Technical Feedback: Produce documentation and provide root-cause analysis to field engineers and leadership.
