Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead complex vehicle diagnostics and repairs in service centers and field environments. The role emphasizes high-level technical leadership, mentoring junior staff, and driving improvements in diagnostics, parts operations, and documentation.

The position may require travel to remote locations or production plants, with a 40-hour week and a 5pm–2am shift on weekdays plus rotational Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• 5–8+ years automotive repair experience preferred.
• 3–8+ years HV systems experience.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations.
• Proficient in Windows/Mac, WOMS, and doc systems.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• State certifications as required by jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Advanced diagnostics & complex repairs on vehicles in centers or field.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting.
• Lead, mentor and train junior technicians.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools to resolve HV and network faults.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardize repair processes.
• Oversee parts operations, inventory and billing.
• Produce documentation and actionable feedback for engineering.
