Job summary

Rivian Automotive seeks an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead and perform advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and field operations support. The role involves mentoring teammates, driving continuous improvement, and handling complex HV and network systems across service centers, mobile routes, and remote locations.

The position requires travel, favorable physical capability, and the ability to coordinate with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from automotive repair program preferred.
• 21+ years old with valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations and production plants as needed.
• Proficient in Windows/Mac environments and service/diagnostic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs in service centers and field settings.
• Provide high-level remote troubleshooting and diagnostic guidance.
• Lead and mentor junior technicians; drive continuous improvement.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools to resolve HV and network faults.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, and inventory management.
• Document outcomes and provide root-cause feedback to engineering teams.
• Engage with customers, suppliers, and internal teams during escalations.
