Job summary

Rivian seeks an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to act as a technical leader for complex vehicle repairs in service centers and in the field. The role may involve remote work, travel to remote locations, or production plants to provide advanced support, while mentoring junior technicians and driving continuous improvement across repair workflows.

The ideal candidate has substantial HV experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a proven ability to work cross-functionally with customers

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from an automotive repair program preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to travel to regional locations and plants.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics and repairs in service centers and field settings.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians; drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Utilize specialized diagnostic tools to resolve HV and network faults.
• Lead road tests, standardize processes, and improve repair workflows.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing.
• Document results and provide root-cause feedback to engineering teams.
• Engage with customers, suppliers, and internal teams during escalations.
