Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to serve as a technical expert and leader in supporting complex vehicle repairs and field operations. This role combines shop-floor leadership with advanced diagnostics and remote troubleshooting across service centers, mobile routes, and production plants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduation from an automotive repair school preferred.
• Minimum age 21 with a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel regionally and work across service centers/production plants.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics, complex repairs, installations, and inspections in service centers and field locations.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting for issues that don’t require local vehicle access.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians; lead cross-functional problem solving.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools to resolve electrical, HV, and network faults.
• Produce thorough documentation and provide root-cause analysis to field engineers and leadership.
• Engage with customers, suppliers, and internal teams during escalations and mobile outreach.
