Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead complex vehicle repairs and field operations. The role combines service-center work with remote and on-site field support, requiring advanced diagnostics, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will mentor junior technicians, tackle high-voltage and network fault analysis, and drive continuous improvement in repair workflows while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from automotive repair school or vocational program preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record (3–5 years).
• Ability to travel to regional locations or production plants as needed.
• Proficiency in Windows/Mac environments and work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and complex repairs in service centers and field settings.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting.
• Lead, mentor, and train junior technicians; drive problem-solving.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to resolve electrical, HV, and network faults.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and standardize processes.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing.
• Produce documentation for service support and provide root-cause feedback.
• Engage with customers, suppliers, and internal teams during escalations.
