Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking a fully proficient, senior field technician to operate compressor packages, gas processes, and rentals. You will mentor peers, troubleshoot complex repairs, and support area policies and budgeting.

The role requires deep knowledge of gas processes, advanced electrical troubleshooting, and a strong safety mindset. Expect 14‑day shifts with 24/7 coverage in a field-facing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred OEM experience and/or 5+ years in a related field/industry.
• Successful completion of Kodiak's SSE program plus 3 years in an intermediate Field Technician role.
• Deep knowledge in gas processes and compression machinery (Waukesha, Ariel, Caterpillar, etc.).
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong teamwork, communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced knowledge of compressor packages and their components.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates job activities per company goals.
• Troubleshoots complex repairs and major equipment overhauls.
• Acts as informal mentor and leader on site.
• Provide 24/7 coverage for 14‑day shifts and participate in on-call rotations.
• Maintain equipment in clean, presentable condition and generate required reports.
• Build customer relationships and support area budget planning.
