Job summary

PowerX in Houston, TX is seeking a Field Service Technician (NETA 3) to lead projects, perform moderately complex inspections, tests and measurements on de-energized equipment, set up and remove test gear, and write reports.

Requires 5+ years of experience, a high school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred), clean driving record, ability to travel up to 50%, and strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years of field experience recommended.
• OSHA 30-hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate to advanced electrical measurements.
• Lead and manage projects from start to finish.
• Write detailed reports on test results and findings.
• Set up and remove test equipment; maintain tools and workspace.
• Mentor project co-lead technicians and field technicians.
• Ensure safety, record keeping, and client interaction throughout projects.
