Job summary

POWERX, based in Austin, TX, is seeking a Field Service Technician (NETA 2) to perform basic electrical inspections, tests, and data collection. You will set up and remove test equipment, conduct basic acceptance and maintenance testing, and prepare client reports with limited supervision.

Requirements include a HS diploma/GED, 2+ years of experience, OSHA 30-hour, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid, and Power DB training a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required, Associate’s degree from an accredited 2-year technical college or trade school preferred.
• 2+ years of experience.
• OSHA 30-hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED, Power DB training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Acceptance and Maintenance Electrical Testing
• Test for de-energized locked out/tagged out equipment
• Collect and record test data accurately
• Test Equipment
• Ensure proper handling and storage of equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of test equipment and work areas
• Write detailed reports on test results and findings
• Perform basic electrical measurements under guidance
• Additional responsibilities and tasks as required to support the organization's goals and adapt to evolving business needs
