Job summary

Otis Elevator Company in Smithfield, RI is seeking a Maintenance/Service Supervisor to oversee service and repair operations, staff recruitment, training and safety for all assigned projects. You will report to the Service Sales manager in the Smithfield, RI territory and drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage field teams, schedules, and resources across multiple sites within the Rhode Island area.

Qualifications

• High school education required; BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience (at least 5 years).
• Strong leadership and goal-oriented mindset with time management and organizational skills.
• Elevator industry experience is desired, but not required.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills for a highly team-oriented environment.
• Strong computer and technology skills, business acumen and focus on customer service.
• Travel within territory is required; driver’s license as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure field employee safety and quality of service in your territory.
• Plan, organize, and manage service field activities to meet customer needs and company standards.
• Ensure effective allocation of manpower and materials.
• Conduct field education training with field workforce.
• Improve efficiencies, manage route schedules and callback rates.
• Provide technical support to field staff, in-house or escalated to experts.
• Authorize repair orders and track completion.
• Lead change toward better efficiency and communication.
