Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support EP Technologies Affera systems across California, from Santa Barbara to the Oregon border. The role requires installations, servicing, maintenance and technical support at customer sites with up to 75% travel.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 4 years of technical field service experience, with preference for a Bachelor’s in engineering and strong troubleshooting, communication and independent-working skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years of technical, clinical field service, technical internship or clinical customer support experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and diagnose medical equipment.
• Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, inspections, verification, corrective and preventive maintenance for EP Technologies Affera systems.
• Maintain and submit technical records and documentation per regulatory requirements.
• Provide feedback to colleagues and updates to the database.
• Input to service processes for continuous improvement of Field Service operations.
• Develop and deliver technical training to distributors, partners, and customer representatives.
• Assist in design improvement discussions for new products.
• Investigate trends in technical data related to Affera products.
