Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Field Service Engineer to lead in-hospital implementation and configuration of Acute Care & Monitoring products across the United States. The role emphasizes strong IT skills for device setup, network integration, and on-site deployments in hospital environments.

The candidate will travel extensively and collaborate with project managers to ensure successful installations, trainings, and documentation, with potential growth into leadership within HealthCast Services.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree.
• 10+ years as an IT professional in this role or related roles, with emphasis on Windows based systems and networking including wireless technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead Field Implementation efforts including significant travel to hospitals across the US.
• Perform hands-on installation work at customer locations for all AC&M product offerings.
• Lead customer IT workstream meetings in partnership with project managers as a subject matter expert with our suite of medical device and software offerings.
• Develop a deep understanding of the installation process for HealthCast products with a focus on optimizing deployment methodologies.
• Effective communication both verbally and in written form.
• Conduct on-site IT trainings to hospital staff on our products.
• Provide guidance to customers on how to configure their environment for our products.
• Ensure installation work meets highest quality and customer service standards.
• Create/maintain installation documentation.
• Provide Level 2 technical support for all HealthCast products.
• Available for after-hours or weekend support if emergencies occur.
• Provide technical input for Sales Directors and Sales Engineers.
• Develop and deploy hardware and software tools that optimize field installations and configurations.
• Feedback to R&D on easier deployment and support.
• Flexibility to travel to customer locations with minimal notice.
