Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver on-site service and support for CST Imaging and Surgical Robotics systems across the San Antonio area, with substantial travel. The role requires installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and de-installation of capital equipment while collaborating with clinical customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 3+ years of field service or related experience, with the ability to document

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years in customer support, mechanical/electrical repair, or field service.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel ~50% within/outside territory.
Experience troubleshooting and servicing technical equipment in customer-facing environments.
Ability to maintain service documentation per procedures.

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, verify, repair, and de-install imaging and robot-assisted systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and technical issues to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate service records and regulatory documentation.
Coordinate service activities with customers and internal teams to ensure timely support.
Analyze field data to identify trends and drive improvements.
Provide feedback to Engineering and Quality teams for enhancements.
Support development and update of service procedures and training.
