Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, inspect, and maintain cardiovascular systems at customer sites across the New England region. You will work closely with sales and clinical teams to ensure excellent service outcomes and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong field service experience, engineering fundamentals, and the ability to travel frequently (about 75%). You will train partners and physicians, support design improvements, and document technical activities in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years of technical, clinical field service, or clinical customer support experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred).
• Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel frequently.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance; travel about 75%.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, inspections, verification, corrective and preventive maintenance of CV consoles and systems.
• Maintain and submit technical records and documentation per regulatory requirements.
• Provide information from field experience to colleagues and update databases.
• Help improve service processes and develop service documentation/procedures.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Manufacturing for product upgrades.
• Participate in and deliver technical training to distributors, partners, and technically qualified customers.
• Assist physicians/technicians during clinical procedures and support new product introductions.
• Drive approximately 75% travel within territory and maintain driver’s license/insurance.
