Job summary

Carolina CAT is seeking experienced Field Service Engineers to service and support a range of power generation and electrical systems. The role involves troubleshooting generators, UPS, and distribution equipment, with duties spanning installation, maintenance, and repair at customer sites.

You will operate company vehicles, adhere to safety protocols, and collaborate with teams to ensure equipment operates as a system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; 2-3 years experience in electrical power generation field service preferred.
• Be customer-focused and able to perform under pressure.
• Possess strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical field service activities including preventive maintenance, modifications, repairs and systems checkout on power installations.
• Troubleshoot 480VAC/12.47kVAC engine-generators and related panels; install, service and repair generators, UPS, and switchgear.
• Document service activities thoroughly and promptly in reports.
• Follow OSHA safety rules and maintain a safe, clean working environment.

AS/BAS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred
