Job summary

Carolina Cat seeks a capable Service Department Supervisor to lead a team of technicians and support staff in our Power Generation Service group. You will drive safety, schedule work, manage budgets, and ensure customer satisfaction.

This exempt role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication skills, with a background in mechanical or field service operations and proficiency in MS Office. You will collaborate across departments to meet uptime goals and service targets.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent; two- or four-year degree preferred.
• 4-7 years in mechanic/technician/foreman roles or equivalent in service.
• Strong management, communication, and customer-focus abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Professionalism with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage direct reports and serve as a liaison with other supervisors.
• Develop work processes and performance metrics to exceed customer needs.
• Schedule and manage technicians for PM, CVA, repairs, and calls.
• Ensure safety policies, procedures, and laws are followed.
• Maintain facilities and equipment in safe operating condition.
• Assist in budgeting and monitor expenses to meet profit goals.
• Promote department profitability and growth through staffing and planning.
• Support Service Manager in department vision and execution.
• Other duties as assigned; monitor daily workflow; enforce standards.
