Job summary

Carolina CAT - Power Systems seeks a field and shop technician to prep and maintain a rental fleet of generators, air compressors, load banks and related equipment. The role involves setup, teardown, troubleshooting, and repairs of diesel generators and industrial engines.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience with Caterpillar or similar power systems, a clean driving record, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of five years experience with Caterpillar or comparable power generation systems.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Must read, write and speak English; basic computer skills and good interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot generator sets and related equipment in field and shop.
• Install and commission new units; perform major/minor repairs.
• Document all work clearly and timely.
• Mentor other technicians; assist customers with equipment handling.
