Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Field Property Adjuster to manage moderate to complex field property claims in Traverse City and the Northern Lower Peninsula. This remote, full-time role requires strong investigation, evaluation, and negotiation skills, with travel on short notice and compliance with regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, deep knowledge of local geography and regulations, and the ability to mentor junior

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with claim handling.
• Strong knowledge of local geography, regulations, and public safety agencies.
• Ability to build rapport with insureds and navigate the insurance and legal climate.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage field property claims, including those requiring outside field investigations and CAT response.
• Identify and proactively pursue opportunities to transfer risk for insureds and business partners.
• Maintain comprehensive and detailed claim records, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
