Job summary

DHL Express is hiring a Field Service Supervisor in Connecticut. The role involves coordinating the movement of parcels by air and ground, including international import/export operations, and supervising a small team to ensure efficient, compliant operations.

You will manage ramp operations, warehouse sorting, and back-office activities, working with customs and partners to optimize service quality and profitability.

Qualifications

• BS/BA and 2 years’ experience in related field, including at least one year of supervisory experience.
• Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets Driving Privileges standards
• Must be 18 years old
• Excellent customer service skills
• Candidate must pass pre-employment background, drug, and medical physical screening

Responsibilities

• Expedites the daily activities of all operational functions ensuring client satisfaction is achieved and company policies adhered to.
• Supervises day-to-day airport ramp operations; loading and unloading of cargo aircraft within internal compliance regulations.
• Supervises warehouse sort operations processing international import and export shipments
• Supervises back office staff, responsible for monitoring flights, communicating and updating the network
• Works closely with US Customs and DHL Imports clearance department to ensure correct processing of shipments
