Job summary

DHL Express in Memphis is seeking a Field Service Supervisor to coordinate parcel movement by air and ground, including international import/export operations. You will manage daily operations, supervise ramp and warehouse activities, and ensure compliance with company policies while optimizing profitability.

The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA with supervisory experience, strong customer service, proficiency in MS Office, and the ability to lead a unionized team.

Qualifications

• BS/BA and 2 years’ experience in related field, including at least one year of supervisory experience
• Professional certification may be required in some areas
• Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets Driving Privileges standards
• Must be 18 years old
• Excellent customer service skills
• Candidate must pass pre-employment background, drug, and medical physical screening

Responsibilities

• Expedites the daily activities of all operational functions ensuring client satisfaction and profitability
• Supervises airport ramp operations; loading/unloading of cargo within compliance regulations
• Supervises warehouse sort operations for international shipments
• Supervises back-office staff; monitors flights and communications with network
• Coordinates with US Customs and DHL Imports clearance
• Develops and manages relationships with Business Partners
• Implements quality systems and KPI monitoring
• Assists in annual budget preparation
• Provides staff training and guidance
• Motivates staff to achieve high performance
