Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Field Technician III to manage Network Operations within a multi-vendor environment across the regional transmission network. The role requires working in a flexible hybrid setting with onsite presence three days per week, depending on team needs.

The position demands strong field operations experience, deep knowledge of LAN/WAN, OSI, T1-OC192, and various carrier systems, plus willingness to travel and hold a Colorado driver’s license.

Qualifications

• AS/AAS/BS in related degree field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage Network Operations for Xcel Energy communications network on Field Service team.
• Escalate and document issues using ticketing system.
• Coordinate with technicians and leads to improve policies and procedures.
• Ensure safety and regulatory requirements on job sites.
• Support multi-vendor network environments (Nokia, Cisco, Ciena, Infinera, Juniper).
