Xcel Energy is seeking a Field Technician III to manage Network Operations within a multi-vendor environment across the regional transmission network. The role requires working in a flexible hybrid setting with onsite presence three days per week, depending on team needs.
The position demands strong field operations experience, deep knowledge of LAN/WAN, OSI, T1-OC192, and various carrier systems, plus willingness to travel and hold a Colorado driver’s license.

Xcel Energy supports a hybrid work model to enable collaboration and flexibility. Many roles are expected to work onsite three days per week (Tuesday–Thursday); however, work location expectations vary based on role, team, and business needs.
The Field Technician III role is network field management focused; and will apply broad knowledge and working experience with networking concepts in the operation, maintenance, and management of telecommunication networks as a member of an experienced multi-vendor multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a variable work environment that interfaces with multiple inter- and intra-office personnel/departments. This advanced -level technician works with members internal and external to Xcel Energy to support Network stability.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $42.60 to $59.67 per hour
