Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting is seeking a Lead Field Technician – Critical Infrastructure to support hyperscale and colocation data center construction projects. You will lead field execution, coordinate trades, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Ideal candidates have 6–8 years of field experience, strong technical judgment, and the ability to resolve issues in real time while escalating risks to the Site Superintendent. This is a demanding, on-site role with travel expectations.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of field execution experience in mission-critical or complex MEP construction environments.
• Experience directing field crews and coordinating subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, safety, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field execution for assigned scopes or workstreams.
• Coordinate daily activities across trades and subcontractors.
• Enforce QA/QC and ensure work complies with drawings and specs.
