Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting LLC is seeking a Lead Field Technician – Critical Infrastructure to drive field execution on hyperscale data center projects. You will coordinate trades, lead field crews, and ensure safety, schedule adherence, and quality per project requirements.

Responsibilities include developing look-ahead schedules, managing field progress, and coordinating with the Site Superintendent, GC, and inspectors. Travel up to 25% and a strong focus on risk and issue resolution are required.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of field execution experience in mission-critical or hyperscale environments.
• Experience directing field crews and coordinating subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, safety practices, and QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field execution for assigned scopes, zones, or workstreams.
• Direct field labor and coordinate subcontractors and trade partners.
• Coordinate across trades including electrical, mechanical, automation, controls, networking, and commissioning.
• Develop and maintain look-ahead schedules (2–3 weeks).
• Enforce QA/QC requirements and verify drawings, specs, and plans.
