Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting is seeking a Lead Field Technician – Critical Infrastructure to support hyperscale data center construction (40–200 MW). This senior role leads field execution under the Site Superintendent, coordinating trades and ensuring work is safe, on schedule, and compliant with project requirements.

Relocation or residence in the United States is required; locations include Atlanta, Amarillo, Lubbock, Big Spring, Fort Worth, Dallas, El Paso, TX, and Las Cruces, NM.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field execution for assigned scopes, zones, or workstreams.
• Direct STC field labor and coordinate subcontractors and trade partners within assigned areas.
• Coordinate daily activities across trades including electrical, mechanical, automation, controls, networking, and commissioning.
• Participate in daily coordination meetings, site walks, and trade alignment discussions.
• Resolve routine field conflicts and sequencing issues; escalate risks, conflicts, and scope gaps appropriately.
