Job summary

STV is seeking Senior Field Inspectors to join our New York City offices. The roles report to Field offices and require flexibility for swing, night, or weekend shifts. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in construction supervision/inspection, with rail/substation experience preferred.

Compensation ranges from $74,278 to $84,407 plus benefits. Candidates must be able to pass a TWIC/SWAC background check and be authorized to work in the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in construction supervision/inspection.
• Rail, tunnel, structural, station experience preferred.
• Substations experience preferred.
• Advanced certifications such as NICET, ACI preferred.
• Ability to pass a TWIC and/or SWAC Background Check at high level.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on existing conditions, work being performed, and completed work for quality, completeness, and accuracy.
• Prepare written documentation, including daily work reports, controlled inspection reports, daily time and material records, and document unit price work.
• Review and mark plans and specifications to ensure and track compliance with the work performed.
• Observe work conditions for compliance to applicable safety regulations.
• Prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously; and follow through on projects to successful completion.
• Communicate with various parties on the progress of the work in a timely manner.
• Other related duties and tasks as required.
