Job summary

Grafana Labs seeks a senior field engineering leader to bolster presales teams with strategic customer engagements, complex demonstrations, workshops, and technical evaluations. The role is remote and focused on supporting the German market.

You will develop reference architectures, enablement content, and compelling demos, while mentoring senior engineers and influencing product planning through customer feedback and adoption insights.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of relevant technical experience with a senior field engineering background.
• Extensive experience in presales, solution architecture, workshops, demonstrations, and proof-of-value engagements.
• Ability to work independently on high-impact strategic opportunities and resolve complex objections.
• Deep expertise in at least one observability/platform area and working knowledge across related technologies.
• Experience creating enablement content and dependable demo environments.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic deals and customer engagements with sales engineers and observability specialists.
• Be a recognized SME in one platform area while maintaining broad knowledge across observability tech.
• Create reference architectures and narrative materials to illustrate proposed solutions.
• Develop workshops, demos scripts, and enablement content with repeatable review.
• Architect and operate reliable, secure, scalable demo environments.
• Influence product planning from customer needs and adoption barriers.
• Present at events and contribute technical articles or white papers.
• Mentor senior and staff-level field and solution engineers.
