Job summary

Grafana Labs is hiring a Staff Field Engineer to enable our sales and customer success teams with deep Grafana platform expertise across multiple technologies. This is a fully remote role supported by a global team.

You will craft technical training content, build scalable demo environments, and help shape product direction while mentoring senior field engineers and solution engineers. Experience in observability and cloud-native stacks is essential.

Qualifications

8+ years of related technical experience including senior field engineer or presales roles.
Subject Matter Expert depth in Grafana Platform and observability tech.
Experience creating field-facing enablement content (workshops, guides).
Proficiency with Linux and modern programming language.
Cloud architecture with IaC (Terraform) across AWS/GCP/Azure.

Responsibilities

Advise on strategic deals with Solution Engineers and Architects with minimal supervision.
Serve as SME in Grafana Platform and build reference architectures.
Craft and deliver value-based stories to help close deals.
Own creation of technical training content and cadence with Enablement/PM.
Architect and maintain live demo/POV infrastructure at scale.
Influence product direction and surface enablement gaps in planning cycles.
Present at marketing events as Grafana ambassador.
Provide technical guidance to Solution Engineers and customers.
Help update product docs and contribute white papers.
Mentor Senior and Staff engineers and field engineers.
