Job summary
Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Field Engineer to advise on strategic deals, craft reference architectures, and own end-to-end technical enablement across Grafana technologies. You will architect live demo environments, influence product direction, and mentor field engineers while operating with broad autonomy in a remote, global setting.
The role requires deep Grafana and observability expertise, strong cloud and IaC skills (Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker), Linux proficiency, and a track record
Qualifications
- 8+ years in technical roles with at least 2 years as a Senior Field Engineer or equivalent.
- Subject Matter Expert in Grafana Platform with deep Observability knowledge.
- Experience creating and maintaining field-facing enablement content and training assets.
- Strong programming/scripting ability and understanding of the modern SDLC.
- Proficient with Linux and common tooling; familiar with AI-assisted coding practices.
Responsibilities
- Advise on strategic deals and customer engagements with Solution Engineers and Architects.
- Be a SME in Grafana technologies and build reference architectures.
- Create and curate technical training content and enablement materials.
- Architect and maintain live demo environments and POV infrastructure.
- Influence product direction and surface enablement gaps for roadmap planning.
- Present at marketing events and provide best practices to customers.
