Job summary

Vertiv's ERS/HVM division seeks an experienced Field Engineer – Electrical Testing (NETA Level III/IV) in Atlanta, GA. The role involves up to 75% travel regionally and nationally, performing high- voltage testing, commissioning, and maintenance on power systems up to 500kV.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• NETA Level III or IV Certification in good standing (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards and protective relay schemes.
• Ability to read one-line/three-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor-based).
• Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing on transformers, switchgear, cables, and breakers.
• Interpret and analyze test results; write comprehensive engineering reports with findings.
